Members Lead Introductory Session, Conduct Conversation Map with Attendees from Around the World
San Francisco, April 22, 2008—The IdeaHive, a group affiliated with the GreenMBA program at Dominican University of California, led an introductory session today at the Academic portion of the EcoCity World Summit 2008 conference in San Francisco.
Seven Idea Hive colleagues guided a visioning exercise with attendees and convened a brainstorming breakout among the 300 participating academics, urban planners and other thought leaders in the Green City movement. Ideas elicited from the session were posted for attendees to examine and comment upon during the rest of the conference, held at UC-Berkeley Extension in San Francisco, by drawing or writing on a wall space.
The conversation mapping technique is integral to The Idea Hive’s mission of using systemic and critical thinking tools to draw out ideas from a large group of diverse stakeholders in a brief period of time.
The Idea Hive was founded by a group of individuals within the Green MBA program at Dominican University of California, who share a common purpose: to transform business practices to reflect triple top line thinking – people, profit, planet.
